Velocityquest III

[DraconicDescendant]

You unlock the doors, several armed men pointing their swords at you as you enter. They're in a hallway, a larger area behind them with a visible throne.

You don't want to have to do this same talk with every group of these assholes.

[Velocity]

Sigh heavily, announcing in a very bored tone.

"We've got more men than you. We've got an undead wizard, the world's strongest man, and a demonic prince who can set you on fire. I'm a revenant with more magical spells and items than I can remember. Just let me talk to your fucking leader already."

[DraconicDescendant]

The men let you through, their leader sitting on the throne. He's got some trashy-looking armor on, with a respectable maul at his side.

"What do you want with us?" he asks. "We're just a bunch of petty thieves and criminals."

[Velocity]

"About time..."

Clear my throat.
"I'm here to make a deal: If you help me attack Mighton, the city's yours, along with any loot I don't want. Simple."

[DraconicDescendant]

"...You're saying that you, along with all of my men, are capable of taking out an entire city?" asks the leader. "That sounds foolish, laughable! Unreal! How could that possibly happen?"

[Velocity]

"I'd say ask Whitewater, but there aren't a lot of people who survived that, and one of the few who did has started addressing me as blood god. That was caused by two of us."

[DraconicDescendant]

"...I don't believe you," says the man. "I have heard no news of this supposed 'Whitewater massacre!' You are making empty claims!"

[Velocity]

"That's because it happened earlier today. I don't stop to take breaks. If you really don't believe me, send somebody posing as a civilian to try to get into Mighton, and see how paranoid the guards get."

[DraconicDescendant]

"...Regardless, you seem to have brought a sizable force with you...who are all of these men and women?" asks the leader, your force still outside.

[Velocity]

"They were civilians from Whitewater, but as you can see, they're happier dead. I'm not a very nice or a very patient person, so I'll have to ask you what your answer is. It'll be at some point tomorrow night, probably, and you'll be fighting independently of the other forces I'm planning to convince to help. You're the only ones interesting in looting, so don't worry about competition."

[DraconicDescendant]

"...Alright then, but we'll only attack if you take the lead," says the leader. "You seem to be a...powerful necromancer."

[Velocity]

"Oh, please. I can do much more than just necromancy. We'll be setting up camp inside the walls, so it's good that you agreed."

Start walking back.

[DraconicDescendant]

You walk back to Claudius, Kilroy, and your servants.

"Were negotiations successful?" asks Claudius.

[Velocity]

"They're idiots and I hate all of them, but yes. They'll attack Mighton when I instruct them to. Set up camp however you like; I'll go check out the city."

Disguise myself, seeing what form I have.

You still have the form of the Muridaean from earlier. It doesn't exactly suit you, but then again nobody would suspect you of disguising yourself as a lower-class peasant such as this.
