"Likely," says the mage. "But you can easily take them, if what I have heard is true..."

"Worth a try staying disguised, anyway. Wait here and listen carefully. If you hear any fighting, catch up and assist me."

Move back to the door, shoving the key in the lock, and shouting the password.

"For our king and country! For our king and country!"

Burst in through the door, and slam it behind me.

"THE REVENANT'S LOOSE!"

You enter the room above, noticing several mages tending to several of your party members tied up on racks! Your party members seem distressed, and the mages seem surprised.

"UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WERE YOU SUPPOSED TO OPEN THE DOOR!" shouts one of them, moving over. "CLOSE IT, CLOSE IT NOW!"

[Velocity]

Shit, I don't know how to lock it...

Drop the key, and hurry further into the room, freaking out.

"IT GOT THE OTHERS BEFORE THEY KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENING! I'M ONLY ALIVE BECAUSE IT STOPPED TO REANIMATE THEM! I SHOULD BE DEAD RIGHT NOW! No... Stay calm... Don't lose control like this... You've dug yourself into a hole here already..."

Calm down, and breathe deeply, looking around at the others, secretly counting my enemies and allies.

You've got three mages in here, Rekchev, Namatun, and one of the bandits all on racks. Oddly, your party doesn't seem to register you, or anything that seems to be happening in the room right now, instead moaning and writhing about in their bonds.

You feel a hand on your shoulder. "Get up. She can't get out of there, not without the password AND a key!"

[Velocity]

Stand up, and glance around the room for any weapons.

"...You're right... Sorry..."

[DraconicDescendant]

There don't seem to be any weapons in here. Your shanks might have to do, here...

[Velocity]

Find somewhere to sit down, and wait for the others to resume what they were doing.

[DraconicDescendant]

They don't resume whatever they were doing. Instead, one of them goes off to alert someone, one starts examining you, and another watches the door.

"Any wounds? Anything missing?"

[Velocity]

"She... she said some kind of curse I didn't recognise, and I got some kind of painful rash on my legs... You should probably take a look at it..."

Wait for him to kneel down to look.

[DraconicDescendant]

"Show me," he says, sitting on the floor.

[Velocity]

Start rolling up my trouser leg with my left hand, and drive a shank through the back of his neck with my right. Dash across the room towards the other mage, trying to slit his throat before he can defend himself.

[DraconicDescendant]

The first mage falls down, spluttering as blood pours through the new holes in both sides of his neck. You rush the other one, who only manages to turn around before being sliced.

Now what did these assholes do to your friends?

[Velocity]

Drop my disguise, and approach the racks, smiling.

"Here I am working tirelessly to break us all out while you're napping."

Release all of them from the racks.

"Wake up. Can you move?"

They writhe on the ground, oddly unaware of your presence, but seeming to be in pain.

"Please...stop..." moans Rekchev.
