Hi i have recently become the guy on wuss mode!

4 hours and 45 minutes in with 2224 deaths..... :S (yes i am persistent) working on hard now sigh*

FINALLY, I have become the guy on medium. I felt so happy last night when I did. Crazy awesome feeling.

Unfortunately I can't provide a screenshot, though, or my kill count. I started I Wanna Be the Guy last year and got to the final boss, then my hard drive on my laptop crashed, so I lost my save file and all. Yesterday I decided to use that save fix program to skip back to the final boss and to give beating it another shot (heck if I was going to go through the entire game again just for the final boss), and I beat it last night after 2 solid hours of fighting him. I didn't really care to watch all of the credits, though, so I exited before they were over and it didn't record it as me having beaten The Guy. Technically I could fight him again to get a screenshot, but I don't feel like spending another hour fighting him just to get a screenshot. 

Doesn't matter, though. I beat him and now I can finally rest easy knowing that I'm the newest Guy out there.

Actually, I remember fighting the guy last year and thinking I'd never beat him in a million years. Now that I've come back to it after beating games like I Wanna Kill the Guy and getting to the final boss (still working on beating him) of I Wanna Be the Boshy, I think my skills have improved so much that the final boss of I Wanna Be the Guy really isn't too tough. It's just one of the longer fights. Kind of interesting how playing spin offs have made me better at the source material.

I didn't see this thread years ago when I first beat the game, but I've beaten the game again. This time, I avoided the final trap and unlocked Boss Rush mode, making it official. It took me about 8½ hours over two sessions, and the save file reports 4:05:50 and 1125 deaths. One of these days, if somebody ever fixes bugs in the source, I'll try again on Hard mode.

Haven't beaten the guy yet. I lost my save when I was at motherbrain, and it pissed me so much that I more or less stopped playing xD.

I'm currently remaking it, so maybe that will make me want to replay through it though. Oh god, the insanity

Thanks Ellipsis I have a question, though I don't know if it's considered blasphemy in here.. Does anyone know if there's an I Wanna Be The Boshy mac port? I've been looking for one for some time but can't find any. The creator of the IWBTG mac port I've been using can't seem to get an IWBTB port up.

Voltric I don't think that there is.
However you can download wine and try use that to run the game.
Alternatively you could ask the creator of IWBTB if he can port the game to mac. It might be a long shot but if the game is made in gamemaker the mac version of gamemaker should be able to make a version of the game which will work on mac.
