Save Fixer: I Wanna Be The Fix

SalamanderSSC made a fantastic tool for fixing saved games you screwed up by........ I dunno. Saving over a pit or something dumb? Way to go, guy. Well, now you aren't at the mercy of joining the forum and asking SilentLoner for a fix! Instead you can go to the download page and download I Wanna Be The Fix and do it your self!

I'm too lazy to tell you how to do it (I'm sure someone will make an embarrassingly simple guide), but at the very least it's easy to select your save file and snap the kid to the nearest save point.

And yes, you can use this to cheat. If thats REALLY what you want to do.

Basically, it's pretty straightforward. Quick example here:

I started a new game and saved at the first save. Open the program and find your save:




Now it'll look like this


And you edit whathever you want. In my case, I changed time, number of deaths, locations and bosses beaten.
If you change location remember to click Snap to Save.


And I end up here:


Or if you're just using it to fix a fucked save, just click Snap to Save and you're done. - dsk

You can't save with it. It disappears once you shoot it.

I was kinda referring to the fangame as well. Ten thousand DL's is a lot but he hasn't posted in my topic :/ ... I mean I know he kinda hates people bugging him about them, but I really want him to playtest the final version before it's released to the public.

No offense, but he made something useful. Something that I've wanted to see for quite awhile.

Anyways I commented on your video about being it on impossible earlier today and I watched videos of the game. I hate to say but I wasn't terribly impressed by the game. It seemed like the hard stuff people wanted after IWBTG, but it seemed to lack the cleverness I look for in the genre.

Though the wrecking ball rules.

Anyways though people seem to like it so that is all thats important. Finding an audience is hard and I hope it gets even more popular.
