HOW DO I HIT THE BUTTON IVE TRIED EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF PLEEAAASSE!
To answer this question, I will use a series of spoilers so that you can choose how much of the battle strategy you want revealed. 1. If you try to get past Jetpack MacFuture, he will start firin' his lazer at you, killing you instantly. You have to avoid his special laser guns if you want to beat him. 2. You will have to wait until Jetpack is not wielding his guns so that he will not have an opportunity to shoot you. 3. During the sequence where Jetpack is stylishly shooting his bouncing bullets, he will briefly throw his pistols into the air before finishing up his attack. Ascend the right side of the screen while his guns are out of his hands to avoid dying. 4. Now all you have to do is hit the button. Just be sure to watch your step  Hope that helps you out. |

EDIT: I took a look at the save file and it should warp you just after the boss fight. Did you make sure to get rid of the old save? |

I figured it out! Jump where the flag is, mario brick appears. Sit under it until the cloud passes. Then walk over to the cliff, step near the edge, and step back. Why? THERE'S A MONKEY!!! MONKEY WANTS MY LIFE!!! MONKEY WANTS MY LIFE!!! Anyway, don't try to jump over it, a mario brick above your head will knock you into it. |
