Chameleon?

It certainly is cute, though...

Anyway, I'm Amber. I'm a crazy dude from with a weakness for pink hair, games from the eighties onwards, learning anything about anything, electronica, psychological horror, and very strange and spooky things. Age 19, studying to be a criminal profiler or research psych, and found this game one of the most fun and awesome experiences ever to come from the web. Plus, everyone here seems pretty dang neat, so, I figure I might hang around for awhile. =)

Hi guyz, what's going on in this thread?

I'm Katt. My real name is Endre, which comes from the old norse name Eindriide, which means warlord.
And yeah, I'm from Norway.

I used to work as a game reviewer, but I got sick of playing games I did not want to play, so I quit. And now I only play games I want to play. :3

Becoming old and nostalgic, I hate most new games for their target audience. Casual gamers. I don't like casual gamers, they are wussies who'we never played a hard game in their entire life, and still calls themselves gamers.
"Oh hi, I play WOW." "Oh hi, I'we played Bio Shock." But Warcraft 2 or System Shock?? OFCOURSE NOT. Damn pussies...

I'm strangely attracted to challenging games. That's why I played IWBTG at all. Some dude linked me to the part in IWBTG where UltraJMan lost his sanity (Again). Fun times. And I was inspired to play a game that one day would make me break my keyboard in insanity. And alas, I did. Thus, I'm writing on a brand new keyboard. :3

I pretty much like every gamestyle, except for sport-games and driving-games. I'm also hugely interrested in game development, even though I don't develop games myself. Yet. And that's why one of my all time favorite games are Magic Carpet/Magic Carpet 2.

Du er fra Norge? Jeg bare snakke liten beløp... Forgive any errors, please! =P I only know a bit due to my mothers parents deciding to leave Norway and come to the frozen north of America. Anyway, welcome! It's a pleasure to meet you!

I always imagined working as a game reviewer would be a major pain, especially if you were expected to write reviews in a certain way, or praising certain games. So welcome back to the realm of being able to choose which games you want to play! That being said, I'm almost certain someone will defend the casual gaming way of life.. I've been known to enjoy a few now and then, but my addiction and love is reserved for games that make me think or work for my goals, preferably both. IWBTG is just... Well, you've probably fallen under it's spell if you've found yourself here. Again, welcome!

Oh, and also, the Magic Carpet games *ROCK*. I also liked Sacrifice, I felt it kept the tradition of them, and had some interesting ideas, even if it wasn't quite as fresh...

rad: I'm old school. =)

Amber: Not bad. =) Ja, jeg er fra Norge. Jeg har noen slektninger i Canada. Forstår du dette? :P
Believe me, it's ALOT colder here in Norway than in the frozen north of America.

I mentioned Magic Carpet, since it's in my opinion a marvel in game development. It had everything, and a awesome physics-engine for it's time (1994) and it's gameplay and graphics were uncomparable.. <3

Since I mentioned bullfrog...
Dungeon Keeper deserves a sequel.
