Well, it’s really Dragon_Yellow_Devil, but all you need to know is that he was basically the precursor to Sodra/peanutdude. I didn’t have an account then, but I did lurk around occasionally.

I seem to be acting suspicious. Perhaps I am a villain?!

And good cliffhanger. =P

Act 1 - Scene 5

[Lights come up on a massive set. Mechabirdo 2.0, stage left, is a massive, improved version of Mechabirdo, and Venser and Kwiftee enter stage right, confronting it atop moving platforms]

Mechabirdo 2.0: YOU CANNOT HOPE FOR VICTORY. SURRENDER AND YOUR LIFE SHALL BE SPARED.

Venser: The hell it will! I programmed you myself, machine.

Kwiftee: Are you sure this is going to work?

Venser: Pretty sure. At least, as long as one of the Mods didn't tinker with it after I left. [clears throat] Now then. Mechabirdo 2.0, command sequence Zeta.

[Mechabirdo 2.0 shudders]

Mechabirdo 2.0: COMMAND SEQUENCE CONFLICTS WITH INTERNAL KAYIN ORDERS. KAYIN ORDERS ARE SUPERIOR. TERMINATING THREATS.

Venser: Oh, fuck.

[Mechabirdo 2.0's eyes begin glowing a dark red]

Kwiftee: I told you this was a bad idea!

[Kwiftee turns and begins to exit stage right]

Venser: Wait, Kwiftee, there's still a couple of other things I can do. Besides, you don't have to worry about the eyes, worry when it lifts its arms and the hands fall off.

[Kwiftee sighs and turns back]

Kwiftee: Well, you better do it fast, because I'd rather not get lasered.

Venser: Right. Mechabirdo 2.0, terminate current sequence.

[Mechabirdo 2.0 rumbles and its eyes stop glowing]

Mechabirdo 2.0: RESUMING TERMINATION SEQUENCE IN 10 SECONDS.

Venser: Mechabirdo 2.0, command sequence Beta.

Mechabirdo 2.0: SHUTDOWN COMMENCING. REBOOT IN 20 MINUTES.

Kwiftee: Well, that was easier than I thought it would be.

Venser: Zeta was selfdestruct, but apparently the core I used from the original Mechabirdo had some of Kayin's instructions in it. I guess Kayin thought he might want to update it sometime, so it allows itself to reboot.

[Venser and Kwiftee sink to the ground on their moving platforms. They walk past Mechabirdo 2.0, and there is a set change to the Blimp Hangar]

Kwiftee: This is what we're looking for. In the Book of Kayin, it says that there's an orb here to show you beat the boss, which gives you a little power, but more importantly, there should be some of Kayin's artifacts here.

Venser: There's no orb, but that doesn't surprise me. We didn't actually beat Mechabirdo 2.0, we just bypassed it. But the orb isn't what we're looking for, does the Book say anything about where they are?

[Kwiftee pulls the Book of Kayin out of his backpack and starts flipping through it, stopping on a page about a third of the way through the thick, old book]

Kwiftee: It's not very specific. It talks about 'the conquest of the mechanical Birdo' and the 'storeroom of the blimps', but then it just skips straight to 'within, ye shall find the Artefacts of Kayin of the Mark II'. From what I've deciphered of the rest of the book, the Mark II part means that these artifacts are part of the second set of them that Kayin made. That's why I think the Scroll of the Underworld is here, because elsewhere in the Book of Kayin, it says that the Scroll was made during the Mark II period, which was from 11Y to 27Y.

Venser: Well, maybe this is it?

[Venser points to a treasure chest underneath a blimp]

Kwiftee: It's as good a place to start as any.

[Kwiftee opens the chest, which appears to be empty, except for a dark blue scroll and a note. He pulls out both]

Kwiftee: This is the Scroll of the Underworld, but there should be other artifacts, according to the Book of Kayin...

[Venser takes the note and reads aloud]

Venser: "As I leave this world I created, I take with me some of these artifacts. Some I leave behind, and others I moved to the Underworld. I do not believe it is safe to leave any of these powerful artifacts with other powerful artifacts, for if any of evildoer gained them, they could cause much havoc. And so I separated all the artifacts. If you wish to find more, you must search the Underworld.

Regards,
Kayin"

Kwiftee: We have the scroll, let's get out. Kayin may seem amiable in that note, but I don't trust him enough not to have a deathtrap somewhere in this hangar.

[Kwiftee and Venser exit stage left. Blackout]

End Act 1
